The need to quickly report and remediate incidents, as well as manage and control the quality of risk management from different countries, became a major challenge. Alektum needed a system that could not only handle a large amount of data but also ensure the quality of the information. "Alektum grew so quickly that our previous approach of using Excel was no longer sustainable for managing risk and security," Christopher explains.

As a company that handles debt collection activities in several countries, compliance is a critical aspect of Alektum's business. "Stratsys is our tool to quickly report personal data breaches and ensure that we act according to good debt collection practices," Christopher clarifies.

So along with having a very user-friendly system, which was one of the big criteria, security is the other reason we chose Stratsys."

Christopher also highlights how the aggregated data from Stratsys is used to inform decision makers, identify patterns and support business development. "I use that information a lot. Every month I present analysis based on Stratsys data in risk meetings with the management team and CEO. Things we see, red threads, business processes that don't work and are supported by deviations from what we have said we will do. It's great information that we use to show how the business is doing but also to influence decisions to change for the better," Christopher concludes.
Optimizing risk management at Alektum Group with Stratsys
Daniel Bäck Florin, Risk Officer at Alektum, shares his experiences on how Stratsys has improved the company's way of managing risks and incidents in an efficient and transparent way.
From manual to automated
Prior to the implementation of Stratsys, Alektum Group worked primarily with Excel and PDF files to manage risks and incidents, which required significant manual work. "Previously, everything was gathered in my office, and it wasn't visible to anyone else unless the information was passed on," explains Daniel.
With Stratsys, the company is now able to give different positions access to specific information. "For example, a regional manager can go in and see the risks in their area and actively follow up on them," says Daniel. This has created an open and transparent environment where managers can easily follow up and manage the risks of the business.
Focus on the right things
Stratsys has not only saved time for Daniel and his colleagues, but has also improved how the organization prioritizes risk management. "With Stratsys' user-friendly system, we've been able to push more for these issues and get a much greater interest in risk and incident management issues in general in the organization, which is very good," Daniel emphasizes.
Now our users can do a lot of things themselves that we previously had to do for them.
Users can now perform many tasks independently that previously required Daniel's direct involvement. "Generally speaking, it has also saved us a lot of time and effort. Now our users can do a lot of things themselves that we previously had to do for them," Daniel continues.
Efficient division of responsibilities and follow-up
The ability to assign responsibilities and receive notification emails is another thing that Daniel highlights as positive. "If, for example, an incident is reported, you set a responsible person who then receives a notification email that this incident has occurred, what needs to be addressed and the end date when it is expected to be resolved. Then you can easily navigate into the system and see what needs to be done and act on it, and document what you have actually done. You can see the status of why things have not been resolved within the time frames," says Daniel.
Use and support
Today, Alektum Group has 140 active users in Stratsys, including 80 risk owners who regularly use the system. Daniel, who is also an administrator, appreciates the flexibility of the system: "I like the fact that we are not really locked in by the Stratsys IT department or IT expertise, but we also have a lot of possibilities to make minor corrections ourselves," says Daniel.
The support from Stratsys also gets high marks. "I think we have great support from Stratsys, both through close contact with Stratsys customer managers and if you have any technical problems, you get a very quick response from support," says Daniel.
Daniel's tips for others who will start working in Stratsys
"Stratsys offers many different forums where we are involved in new development, which I think is very good that you actually get to be involved in shaping the processes and get our wishes, that they are heard and that we can actually be involved in developing Stratsys forward. It benefits both us and Stratsys", Daniel concludes.
